AWS IoT: 9 things I wish I knew before I got started

Jumping in head-first doesn’t sound very appealing, does it? But it is one of the greatest ways to fail- and therefore learn fast. For my first project at Luminis I did not choose the easy route. During this project a system on top of AWS IoT had to be build, which is able to manage devices and is able to send updates to internet connected devices. My experience with AWS or IoT was limited, so I had to learn a ton in a short period of time.

In this talk, I will share the fact that AWS IoT does not cover every single IoT use-case but I will also show which IoT related problems AWS helped me solve. With confidence I can say that you will be able to start off a new IoT project successfully using the tips that I will give you.
